In 1948, Mr and Mrs Wilson and their family
moved from Rose Villa in Epworth to Wesley House in Queen Street,
Epworth. The family loved their new home so much that one of the
sons, Graham Wilson, still owns this remarkable building.
Over the past four years, Graham has renovated
his wonderful home and he now offers a warm welcome to all who stay
in The Wesley Guest House.
There are four guest rooms, all of which are en-suite
and contain a shower, a basin and a WC. For your convenience, there
are tea & coffee making facilities and a colour TV in all the
rooms. The property has ample off-street parking for all our guests,
and the breakfast room has a wonderful view of the large garden.
Leisure facilities are also available, including a snooker room.
For those interested in the roots of Methodism
and John Wesley, there are volumes of the published Wesley diaries
on display in the house.
Graham would like you to join him and his
staff at The Wesley Guest House and make your visit to Epworth,
one you will remember. The Wesley Guest House is located within
easy walking distance of the historic locations and attractions
of Epworth. You can visit the nearby Wesley family home, the Old
Rectory (now a museum), the Market Cross, where John delivered rousing
sermons, Samuel Wesley’s grave at St Andrew’s Church
and the beautiful Wesley Methodist Memorial Church.
